The Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Leisure Studies (DKHL) is part of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at National University of Kaohsiung (NUK). Established in 2001, DKHL is one of Taiwan’s early interdisciplinary programs in a public comprehensive university integrating kinesiology, health, and leisure studies.

With health promotion as our unifying framework, DKHL cultivates students’ academic foundations, professional competence, and leadership potential. Grounded in both the social and natural sciences, our curriculum emphasizes evidence-informed practice in two core areas: (1) physical activity and exercise instruction and program planning, and (2) leisure planning and management. Through high-quality undergraduate and graduate education, DKHL prepares professionals to promote active lifestyles and well-being across diverse settings.
